Car-camp Friday and Saturday nights at the 8000' trailhead in the Mineral King valley of Sequoia National Park. Be prepared for fall mountain conditions, possible cold temperatures. We will climb both peaks by day-hike on Saturday -- 3.5 miles to Farewell Gap (2700' gain), then the two peaks will be reached in about 3 miles (2000' gain). We drive home Sunday, Sept. 28.
