28 (event) Wilderness First Aid - Palo Alto - Sierra Club Start: 09/27/2008 1:00 am End: 09/28/2008 1:00 am Space Available. Contact Tom at TripBTom@aol.com (trip) Western Sierra in Autumn: Florence and Vandever Start: 09/27/2008 1:00 pm End: 09/28/2008 1:00 pm Car-camp Friday and Saturday nights at the 8000' trailhead in the Mineral King valley of Sequoia National Park. Be prepared for fall mountain conditions, possible cold temperatures. We will climb both peaks by day-hike on Saturday -- 3.5 miles to Farewell Gap (2700' gain), then the two peaks will be reached in about 3 miles (2000' gain). We drive home Sunday, Sept. 28. Contact leader with your experience. Trip is suitable for beginner-intermediate climbers. Carpool from Bay Area to Mineral King.	29	30 (meeting) Fall Trip Planning Meeting Start: 09/30/2008 7:30 pm End: 09/30/2008 9:30 pm Our Fall PCS trip-planning meeting (for trips through about Apr.) will be held tomorrow evening at Rod McCalley's house. There will be beverages, and some pizza, cookies, etc. All peak-climbers are welcome, including aspiring leaders & co-leaders. What are people interested in climbing over the cold season (and also into next year, too!)?	1 (trip) Kanchenguna - North and South Base Camp Start: 10/01/2008 1:00 pm This will be a 20 day trek in Nepal.
